Well of Being Counselling
"As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being."
- Carl Jung
Welcome
My work is gentle, body-based, and trauma-informed. Together, we draw on a range of healing approaches—including movement, creativity, parts work, mindful awareness, and conversation—to support your nervous system in finding more ease and flexibility. Over time, this can help you feel more connected to yourself, strengthen your relationships, and experience greater meaning and wellbeing in your life.

When it comes to trauma, psychiatrist Dr Bruce Perry offers a powerful reframe. Instead of asking “What’s wrong with you?” he invites us to ask, “What’s happened to you?” Our bodies hold the stories of our experiences, and many of the patterns or symptoms we live with are ways our system learned to survive. Seen this way, trauma is not a personal failure—it is an injury, and healing is possible.
Because trauma often happens in relationship, healing can also happen in relationship. The therapeutic connection we build together is a central part of the work. Within a safe, respectful, and caring space, new experiences of trust and connection can slowly emerge. For many people, this can feel unfamiliar or even frightening—especially if relationships have been a source of pain in the past. We move at a pace that feels right for you.
I trust the approaches I work with to be both gentle and deeply supportive, helping you reconnect with your own inner wisdom and natural capacity for healing.
I’m a qualified Counsellor, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, and Art Therapist. I offer both in-person and online sessions. I’m dedicated to fostering self-understanding and holistic well-being.

“Sometimes the call comes as a crisis, sometimes as quiet discontent. A restlessness. A low hum of unease. A hunger we can’t quite place. The story begins here.”
